"okay, say cheese!” destiny instructed over her phone, a grin taking over her face on instinct as she waited for the other to follow suit. maybe she wasn’t an influencer like sabrina, but she still wanted some photos for her instagram and, more importantly, for her memories. it was important for her to capture the moments, so she could look back on them, and she was sure this summer would be full of them.

“Should I be offended you didn’t come get in line when I was working?” Nate asked with a motion of his chin towards the kissing booth as he fell into step beside Destiny, nudging her with his elbow. Nate never knew how to describe what the vibes between the two were anymore, but he at least usually was able to act like things were totally cool between them, even if they weren’t. “Would’ve been a nice break between all those people who have no bloody idea how to kiss.”
