Mitama inhaled slowly. It soothed her nerves, much like her hands as they smoothed out whatever wrinkles may have been in her dress. There was no need for her to lose her composure. Not for a simple task as this.
Traveling had never struck her interests until she realized what potential their was for inspiration in the world outside her home. And with gates more common and other worlds available, the call of what wonders could be discovered was far too strong for even her to ignore. Still, traveling took money, but she was fortunate enough to not struggle too severely in that realm.
There was always a need for healers, and in the rare cases there weren’t, bored nobles always enjoyed the arts.
What little she’d chanced to see in Renais was beautiful, but assuring she’d have a room to sleep and food to eat had trumped her explorations. It had been surprisingly easy to talk her way into entertaining the allegedly young queen. Now just remained the task of doing so, and hopefully well enough.
The door opened, and the one who’d allowed her entrance beckoned her. Mitama stiffened, breathed again, and followed him in. The room was beautiful, and it did not take her long to see the queen herself was as well. Mitama bowed politely.
“Mitama of Hoshido, Your Majesty.”
