Tae knocked on the door to Jack’s room, having seen the door opened a crack. He could hear Jack moving around in there, and hoped he wouldn’t mind Tae bothering him. Then again, Jack had been asking around for him, or so Dakota had told him earlier. Heart racing like he was running, he hoped he wasn’t in trouble or something. Tae knew Jack was close to Ella, what with being so far up the ranks of command, and he couldn’t stop the worry that he’d done something wrong.
“Uh, Jack? You wanted to talk to me about something?” he asked, waiting for the okay to enter the room.
