Once again Alisa made her weekly trek up the mountain summit to visit the Goddess Pond. Of course, Alisa prayed every day to the Goddess, but she always felt better when visiting the pond and being surrounded with nature--the Goddess’ element. It made her feel closer to the Goddess which made her feel a little more at ease.
Alisa had visited many holy ponds across Razalune, but she had a soft spot for the one between Bluebell and Konohana. Being so high up on the mountain made it feel like she was even closer to the sky and the heaven’s above. Like her parents weren’t so far away.
But as she neared the summit she heard something drifting along with the wind. It was a tune not found in nature by itself--or perhaps it could be if one were to listen close enough--but it piqued Alisa’s curiosity. She followed the path (not daring to stray in fear of getting lost) and was pleasantly surprised to hear it grow louder and louder until she reached the top and could see the source.
A man with stark white hair stood with a long coat playing a violin. The melody from his instrument filled the mountain air. The two so complimentary to one another it felt as if nature was singing with him.
For a moment she stared at him completely enthralled by the performance. It was beautiful--she felt compelled to join in and sing, but before she could make a decision his eyes locked on her as he stopped.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” Alisa said, approaching him slowly. “I didn’t mean to interrupt.”
