Sebastian placed the mug down on the table in front of the blonde, pushing it towards her ever so slightly whilst also adding a pastry down. One that he knew that she used to love when they were back at school and was hoping that would still be the case now. "Hi. I thought I would come over here, place down a peace offering and wonder if we could maybe talk?" He asked, wanting to at least make one amends with someone from his past and given all the people he left behind Pepper was the most important to him and the relationship he cared about the most. "I'm aware I've sort of cornered you here, but I had a feeling that if I tried texting you to ask, you'd just ghost me." Especially if the events from Valentines Day had gotten back to him regarding himself and the Wilkes family.

“Oh will you stop glaring at me like that, it was just a towel and a few pairs of socks.” Meredith commented with a roll of her eyes from where she could sense her roommate glaring at her from over the breakfast bar. “I’d say I’m sorry but I’m not really and you probably should just get used to the fact that you live with someone who is a little messy.”

“I’m not saying I’m scared.” Meredith huffed as she glowered at the other, “I’m just saying that if you lock me in here I will swear to all things magical to get ou back in such a way you’ll consider leaving the country.” Meredith threatened, “Don’t forget about where I work and the lengths I will go to to get revenge.”

Meredith hadn’t really thought much of putting an ad out into the local newspaper and shop windows around Hogsmede about needing a housemate. The apartment she had found was a decent size, but that also meant it came with rent and bills she couldn’t quite swing herself. She had her landlord negotiate the details and all the legal parts that were boring enough for her to go through the first time round and was simply told that today was the day her new housemate would be arriving.

She would admit to herself regularly that her gift of premonition was not something she wished she had, however she had wished it would have kicked in to give her some sort of warning about who her new roommate would be. “Oh you have got to be kidding me.” Were the first words that left her mouth upon seeing the new tenant walk through the door with a box in her hands.

"You know, I'm not surprised that you went for one of the only costumes out there where you could dress solely in the colour pink. However, I am surprised that this isn't one that you've done before, I'd have thought Elle Woods would have been a top pick Halloween costume for you years ago." Sebastian told the other, almost approaching her cautiously, knowing that he was still probably going to earn some sort of death glare from her for just approaching.

"Why do you look surprised that I’m here?” Meredith asked the other as she showed up to her old flat, bag full of snacks and her oodie on despite having walked over. “There are new Netflix series and shows out and we haven’t watched them in like a month, we’ve got a lot to catch up on.”

Okay, so coming back to Hidehill probably wasn’t the best idea Amelia ever had but it was definitely not the worst. However, that didn’t remove the ample amount of awkward encounters and conversations with people of her past. Emilia had been the hardest, obviously, but the second hardest was probably this one right here. Pepper had been her best friend growing up, the two of them thick as thieves, but when Amelia fled the town after her break up with Emilia and the deportation of her family, she had cut ties with Pepper. The once former friends had not spoken in a decade and yet, here Mel was waiting for Pepper to finish her shift at Dave’s. It was probably wrong to ambush her ex-best friend like this but she didn’t know what else to do. When the other finally walked out of the liquor store, Amelia inhaled deeply and took a step forward. “Hey,” she said awkwardly, rubbing at the back of her neck. “I heard you worked here now so I figured I would come and say hi.” What else could she really say?
