@greyhoundgxrl liked for a groovy starter! The Rolling Stones were supposedly in town, supposedly heading to the Whiskey and Polly was cooped up at the Canyon Country Store with only an hour remaining of her shift with no one to cover for her. If her sisters—her usual cover—had any knowledge of it, middle sister Barbie would be off hunting for Mick right about now and her youngest sister Mary would be in class chewing her pencil end whilst fantasizing about Keith. Normally Polly would be all smiles working the cash register, hoping for rockstars to casually stroll by, and she was right up until she realised the boys wouldn’t be dropping by the store while she was in there. Anxiety tightened her chest as she kissed her dreams of charming the pants off of Brian Jones goodbye. But maybe they had came and left. Maybe they weren’t around at all. She’d have to find someone who knew something. Luckily, it was fairly easy to pick out music-lovers from those who weren’t. She leaned over the counter on her elbows, long blonde strands dangling over her forearms. “Excuse me, love,” she called out to the brunette with the coal-coloured eyeliner, “you wouldn’t happen to know if the Stones were in town—I overheard a girl mention that they might be and I’ve, well—I’m sure I would have heard about it sooner if they were..”
