Several icicles had fallen from the gutters since Snowdrift had left that morning, and when he returned, he decided to make something interesting with them. He gathered them in his arms, one after another, and began wrapping chi about them. Within moments, they glowed faintly with green light. They wouldn’t hold that energy for long – only living things held Chi for any length of time, and even then, only those skilled in it could make it last longer than a few moments. However, in the time the ice held those green sparks, they would shine as brilliantly as his neighbor’s string of lights…possibly a tad brighter, depending on how one looked at them.
He lined them up, one after another, on the snowbank that had built up next to one sidewalk. People passed this way on a regular basis, and the occasional stares as the majority of the human residents gawked at the Pandaren was something he’d become used to. At least no one was calling him a monster these days. His arms emptied, Snowdrift looked over his handiwork with a satisfied nod.
His timing was magnificent – the wind built into a stiff breeze that swept off a huge amount of snow and left Snowdrift spluttering. Shivering in place, he looked over his now-buried icy work and sighed disgustedly.
