Unwanted || Acacia & Eli
Perfectly manicured nails clicking on the counter of the post office, Eli had a frown on her lips as she waited for the package that just couldn’t be delivered to her home. Without even seeing it, she knew who it was from. Her estranged husband, as divorce was not an option, had survived the latest attempt, sadly. “Miss Paxton? Can I get you to sign here?” the lady asked as a full-on scowl form on her face. “It’s Mrs.” She bit out, jerking the pen out of the woman’s hand and signing the paper.
Taking possession of the little box, the woman bit back a grown at the size of it So it hadn’t even been close. Eli was really losing her touch when it came to the hired help she sent after her beloved husband. The click-clack of her stilettos echoed around the room as she pushed her way outside. Opening it to see a diamond tennis bracelet nestled in black velvet, Gabrielle rolled her eyes before stopping in front of the nearest person. “Take this. Pawn it. Give it to someone. I don’t care, I just don’t want it.”
Long legs strode across the pavement of the sidewalk, their owner’s eyes wandering around the little shops in the hopes of finding something worth her time. The town was fucking useless and boring. The people in it were dull as dishwater and she couldn’t even shoot anything. Ash was MIA, Nico was being... Nico. Maria was busy bothering Roman, who was NO FUCKING FUN. Gia was tormenting Axel (which in Acacia’s opinion was the only fun thing to do). She was bored. Acacia bored was a bad thing. She hated this thing.
On her way past one of the buildings, Acacia was accosted, a small box thrust into her hand. “Sorry?” She asked as she looked down at the box. It was a jewelry box, though from where she didn’t know. Nimble fings flipped it open to reveal a very beautiful and expensive looking bracelet. “Typically, I gotta take a gal on a few dates before she gives me something this nice and while its clearly my color -diamond, I haven’t got the faintest idea where to hock something like that in this town. Unless,” Acacia pulled the bracelet out of the box, spinning it around her finger. “It’s a down payment for some wet work.” Oh, how she wanted a job in this place. She doubted anyone would hire her. She wasn’t broadcasting who and what she was.
She made to hand it back to the woman, an apology on her lips. “Killer heels, though,” she said glancing down at the woman. “Did you get them in this town because I’m in serious need of shopping spree and there is fuck all for fashion in this place.”
