asher rubbed the sleep out of his eyes as he made his way out of his bedroom and toward his kitchen. he stopped when he noticed the girl on his couch and then shifted toward the living room. “’bout to make breakfast. you want some?” he asked the girl as he looked down at her. he hadn’t expect alyssa to show up last night but then again, she never really gave him a heads up when she was coming. he just left the back door open for her just in case. “an omelette is sounding good right about now.” he added, sleepily as he stretched.

asher shoved his hands into his pockets after he tossed his cigarette down on the concrete and stepped on it with his boot to put it out. he let out a breath and glanced up at her. “so, what do you think we should get into tonight?” he asked. he never really planned anything out and he usually just found his friends and let them lead their plans. “i’m up for anything.”

asher stopped at the sound of the familar voice and turned in her direction. things weren’t the best between them but things could definitely be worse. he took a deep breath and moved toward where ruby was seated at the bar, “can i buy you a drink?” regardless of what they’d been through, he still wanted things to be civil.
