“so,” callie tapped on her own knees as she sat down next to her friend. they gushed about how cool it was that their siblings were dating but she realized how much she didn’t know about her brother while talking to rosie. “one of my sister’s mentioned your brother’s been to jail, is that true? i mean, i’m not judging but i’m curious is all.” it was probably none of her business but she had to know what kind of guy hannah was dating.

there was no excitement like the excitment she felt when her wife walked through the door of their shared home. she shot up from her seat on the couch and moved right over to ryan, her arms wrapping around her immediately. “i thought you weren’t coming home until tomorrow.” she breathed into her hair, her body pressed close to hers. “i’ve missed you, baby.” she added before pulling away just enough to press her lips against hers. she knew she had hardly gotten through the front door before callie was latching onto her but she really did miss her and she was tired of them being away so much. “please tell me you’re staying longer this time.”
