WHO: Ivy Black. Dental Assistant. 24-29. OPEN TO: m/f/nb 21+ PLOT: Your muse has just informed Ivy that her bride/groom stood her up. Could be her best friend, best man, brother’s best friend, etc and maybe they have feelings for her and they’re trying to comfort her.

a sob slipped past the woman’s lips, “what?” her heart had immediately dropped the moment the news came from the other’s lips. she couldn’t believe it. ivy had been so sure about her partner and she thought they were sure about her too but this confirmed one thing - she’d been more serious about them then they’d ever been about her. “they didn’t show up?” she cried, her hand coming up over her mouth in attempt to choke back her crying. “what am i supposed to do now?”

Ivy was having a long day and a long walk, she was glad it was a weekend and and it was school break, as it meant she could focus on herself and have sometime to herself. It had been a great break, she had spent it with friends and family so far. But today she was just having the day to herself walking around the beach for  a nice stroll and relaxing time to herself in her own little world. It was her favourite place and it was just the best place to be. As she walked towards the pier area she bumped into someone. “Oh Sorry.” She said before looking up at the guy and usually she would continue walking but this person was so familiar from a time she had nearly forgotten, she remembered the photos from the old photobooth and this guy was on the pictures instead of herself but she didn’t understand why and still didn’t but she had the photos in her purse at all time for a strange reason. “Hey I am sorry to be well random but I recognise you and this is so bizarre but did you use an old photobooth a while and leave photos there?”

ivy smiled as she came out of the bedroom and walked toward the guy she seemed to be falling for, a grin plastered across her face. she hadn’t gone to a party in so long and while at this party, she was supposed to be meeting his friends which she was ultimately nervous about but she knew that it was time anyways. “so,” she posed for him playfully, “what do you think about this dress for the party?” she asked and smoothed over it all. “do you think it’s too much or?” really, all she cared about whether or not he liked the way she looked. his opinion was the only one that mattered.

ivy wasn’t really the kind of girl that noticed when guys were into her so when the same guy kept popping up for yet another dental appointment, she assumed that he was just having problems. she watched as the dentist left the room, still seated on her stool as she looked over at the man. “like he said, your teeth are perfectly healthy but if you are experiencing sensitivity you should considering changing tooth pastes or swapping to a softer toothbrush. that may help your problem.” she spoke, giving him a soft smile. “do you have any other questions?”

His hands were shaking as he folded up the Prophet. He didn’t usually read anything but Good News, Bad News, Magic News, International, and of course, Potions sections - but his own name had caught his eye in the Opinion section, of all places. And not only that, but Rita Skeeter’s column. And while he was growing more and more used to this occurring, he had expected something else about his supposed lies and deceit during the war. But what he had read was…. far different.

He tried to put it out of his mind, it was Rita Skeeter after all. But she hadn’t been the one to propose the idea had she? Who had sent it in? Not knowing made him wary, as he couldn’t know the credibility. What if it had been Ivy? Surely, she would have told him. Wouldn’t she? He did the math quickly in his head - he didn’t like the answer.

Before he knew it, and without really remembering how he had gotten there, Severus stood on her doorstep, banging heavily on her door, paper still clenched tightly in his other hand.

she could already feel him pulling away from her. the realization that she very well may lose the single handedly most important person in her life caused her chest to ache. ivy stared at the other in front of her, “why are you doing this?” she didn’t understand why he seemed to be suddenly changing his mind about her. he knew she needed him and so, maybe he just wanted to hold it over her head. tears pricked the corner of her eyes, “please don’t.”

it wasn’t easy for her to just be her friend. ivy thought that their relationship worked really well and she wanted nothing more than to see what else their future would hold. the breakup seemingly came out of nowhere, at least to her it did, and now she had to pretend she was completely in love with her best friend. ivy sat next to her, probably closer than she should be, and focused on the screen in front of them, her fingers grazing the other’s hand, “sorry.” she finally said and turned her head to look at her, “i guess i’m still not used to being just friends.” but she was trying for the sake of keeping her in her life.

Ivy looked at the girl, walking out of the bathroom. The steam rolling into the bedroom. Ivy was pulling on pants, completely unsure of if she'd be wearing the right thing. "Are pants, okay. I can totally wear a dress." Ivy's voice exposed her stress as her hands went into her hair. The girl sighed. "I just want everything to be perfect, I really want him to like me." The brunette paused, moving to the bag of clothes she kept at Alex's place. "Lex..." She whined. "I'm going to mess up..."
