hunter’s reaction to her going on a date was...weird. she didn’t understand his sudden shift in mood and she didn’t understand why he’d even been against it. she almost wondered if he were jealous but she knew that couldn’t be it, especially not since he was the one that very much rejected her. she was coming back from her date with the guy, a smile on her face because she’d genuinely had fun with him. she stood in front of her door, looking up at him. “well, i had a lot of fun...” she breathed out, her hands clasped in front of her. her date smiled down at her, “i did too.” he replied and she watched as he moved in closer to her and began to lean down. this was it. he was doing to kiss her. that was, until the light was turned on and hunter opened the door. she glared and if looks could kill, hunter would be dead.

maisie was completely in love with the little girl, her eyes never really leave the baby that was in her arms and everything that led up to this moment felt completely worth it. her attention broke from francesca to the person that walked in and she grinned, “hi! come in, come here. look how cute she is,” she paused and waited until the other got closer before she looked between the two of them. “do you want to hold her?” and before the other could really answer her questioned, she offered the baby in their direction.

as much as maisie hated it, she couldn’t always take francesca to work. it was harder to get things done with her toddler running around and there were few people that she actually trusted with her daughter. unfortunately, miles was one of them. from the moment her daughter was born, he’d started hanging around more. why? she never was sure. the two of them were at war for so long and then they just kind of became...friends. if that’s what she wanted to call it. she walked through the door, her eyes landing on the two of them and it looked as though the three year old was painting his nails. “uh,” she laughed, walking in a little closer, “i really like the color, miles. it brings out your eyes.” she joked.

maisie took a big scoop of ice cream into her mouth as she walked with her best friend, a smile on her face. for one, it was hard not to smile around trevor and two, ice cream was her favorite food right next to pizza. “so, there’s something i want to tell you,” she started, looking up at the taller man, “i have like a sixth sense or something and i have like the biggest feeling in the world that it’s a girl. of course it won’t be confirmed for another two weeks but,” she smiled a little wider, “i chose a name and i want to know what you think.”

maisie smiled as her best friend walked out of the room after tucking his daughter in for the night. “there’s something i wanted to tell you before i left but i want you to promise you’ll have an open mind.” she had told anyone yet and she felt as if he and trevor should be the first ones she told. “i’ve just been thinking a lot about what makes me happy and annabeth makes me happy. kids, babies, family...it makes me happy so,” she paused, a grin lighting up her whole face because she was genuinely stoked to share her news, “i’m going to have a baby.”

maisie grinned as jason opened up the door to his home and waved at him before holding up her baby carrier so that he could take a glance of the very awake baby, one that was playing with the somewhat adorable reaper toy miles’ had gotten for her. she still found it a little off that he’d gotten anything at all considering their situation. “she’s ready to see uncle jason.” she added and stepped inside, making her way toward the living room with the baby on her arm. “you know, aiden sure was a lot of help when i was going into labor. he’d be the cutest dad. are you guys wanting a baby some day?” she asked as she sat down.

“-okay,” maisie started as she came out of her bedroom with a towel in her hand, drying her hair as she walked toward the couch to sit down, “thank you for watching her so i could take a shower. i almost forgot what it felt like to take a shower longer than a couple of minutes. i swear every time i’d hope in there i’d hear phantom cries and rush out. she was asleep literally every time.” she told the other and then smiled to herself as she watched trevor with the baby. “she likes you but that’s not really surprising. she’s going to lover her favorite uncle.”

if there was something maisie liked to do, it was mess with miles. that wasn’t really something she’d been thinking about though, especially since francesca made her way into the world over the weekend. she’d gotten released earlier that morning and was feeding her daughter when she heard someone at the door. she wasn’t surprised that anyone was stopping by considering she had so many friends who wanted to see her daughter but she was surprised to see miles standing there. “oh,” she started and then a small smile came onto her face because she wasn’t going to let him show without messing with him. “your daughter made it into the world saturday,” she joked and looked down at the baby for a moment. “i was just feeding her. do you want to come  in?”
