Rainfall
@duckfam
The moon hung high in the sky, her night had just begun, and she was enjoying it. The streets were too quiet and she loved it, the isolation that came from the presences of Duckburg hiding away from the rain. She was here not because she wanted to be, but because she was searching for something. She was searching for something that hid from her so often that she couldn’t even think straight. She had found it– not Scrooge’s number one dime, sadly that was a harder trinket to gather, but something that could help her obtain such an object. She will take over the world with the power of the ancient gods eventually. Granted that may not be now but she will certainly do it. As she slipped through the darkened streets, made wet by the ever heavy rainfall, she found that her mission was going to be a success, she was going to find what she was looking for.
At least she thought so until she felt her search be rudely interrupted. Her dark umbrella held over her head, she cast a glare back behind her to the figure she saw just out of her vision. She had sensed them, her abilities making it so easy to feel when there was someone just out of her vision. She knew, she knew so well, that the person standing there was going to get in her way if they knew what she was looking for. The artifact she planned to steal from a mere antique shop that didn’t understand it’s value! It was so valuable, to worth something that there was no way she would let some fool buy it and use it as basic decorum. It was worth more than every soul in this damned city– except Scrooge that is, his soul was worth quite a bit due to that lucky dime of his. This item will give her the ability to stop time, a clock with such a talent that perhaps she could conquer the world with it alone– that is if it’s power wasn’t so limited. If she could get her hands on it than she could very well get that dime with ease and the old duck would be none the wiser.
“Can I help you?” She asked, her voice sharp and cold, she was not in the easiest to humor mood, and she was certainly not too keen on being interrupted like this.
