rhett checked in on his sister more than he should. he was protective but hadley was one of the only people he had in his life and they were close. he walked down the familiar high school hallway with a paper bag in his hand. he was on his way to work when he thought he’d drop lunch by for her and maybe stop by to talk to her for a moment. he knew what time she went to lunch and so he was sure he wouldn’t be interrupting any classes. he walked into her classroom, knocking gently on the open door and walking further inside. “hey, little sister.” he greeted and set the lunch down on her desk. “i thought i’d stop by before i head to the shop and drop you off some lunch.”

rhett was 100% that big brother.he was protective and probably a little too much and so when he noticed her costume and the boy she was with, he’d narrowed his eyes at the two. once her date walked off to get them something to drink, he walked right over to his little sister with a raised eyebrow. he knew what she was and that she’d dressed up like her friends to fit in but he didn’t like how much skin was show, even if she was a grown woman. “first off, what are you wearing?” he asked as he stood in front of the girl. “and secondly, davis smith? really?” he’d heard about davis and the last thing he wanted was for his baby sister to get heart broken because of a guy like that. “you can do so much better than him. he’s a player. haven’t you heard about him? i know i’m not the first one to tell you.”
