James watched Liam carefully, seeing the other prince clearly struggling to approach whatever subject it was he wished to discuss with him. He waited, patiently, for Liam to finally get the words out. It was obviously something serious, given how awkward and uncomfortable he seemed. As soon as the words spilled from his old friend's lips James' eyebrows shot up in unrestrained surprise.
"… You did what?" He stared at Liam for a few moments, processing this information, and then his face broke out into a grin and he burst out laughing. "Gods, Liam… are you serious? You slept with a pirate in public?" He jumped to his feet, crossing the room to him. He gripped Liam's shoulders with another laugh. "Liam Jones, I am impressed."
