Malasada; Alex & Hau
Random Starter for @maalasada
The Alola Region, in many ways, was similar to their home region of Kalos. They both had a number of large cities, while having smaller towns. But they were also different. The climate of both regions were quite different. While Kalos was much cooler, Alola was much more tropical and warmer. And while Alola consisted of four islands, Kalos was located on the mainland of a larger continent. Not to mention, Alola had something called a Malasada -- something that Kalos did not.
According to the locals of Hau’oli City, a Malasada was something that can be eaten by both Pokemon and person and came in a variety of flavors. They were similar to Berries, in which they carried special properties for Pokemon. If a Pokemon were to eat one, their affection would increase. And that was one of the reasons Alex was standing outside the small restaurant.
They looked up at the small building. The aroma of the fresh food inside was faint over the smell of the ocean, but was very noticeable. After some thought, they walked in and was immediately greeted by the workers. “Bonjour.” The trainer told the worker behind the counter and stood in line.
The line didn’t move that fast, so Alex had time to look around the restaurant for a spot to sit. They noticed quite a few places opened and began to make mental notes of the different spots they’d like to sit at. Sitting in the corner, towards the wall, wasn’t the best spot to look at everyone (because let’s face it, they loved looking at what people were wearing), and sitting near against the counter was also a bad spot. Finally, Alex found the perfect spot, in the center of the restaurant.
Finally, the line was moving and within a few minutes the trainer was at the counter. The worker behind the counter asked what they wanted and Alex froze. They didn’t really look over the menu during their time while in line and looked behind to see someone behind them.
“What do you recommend I get here?” Alex asked the male.
