Forseen Flame || Maxie &. Morty
The day started with the smell of lavender sneaking through his window. His eyes opened lazily and he shuffled through the white sheets of his futon, yet, he kept half of his face covered. The day was cold, but his room and hands were colder. Morty was about to let the drowsiness of the day drag him back to sleep, but a sudden pinch of familiarity made his heart skip a beat. He sat up immediately, which alarmed three Gastly that were resting in a corner.
“So it’s today...”
His mutter confused his Pokemon as, way more relaxed than a moment ago, he stretched his arms to wake his body up and start the day.
The chilly breeze caused him to pull his purple scarf up to cover part of his face, yet his invisible companion seemed ignorant to the weather. Morty started digressing as he dropped a soft chuckle at the irony of how cold a ghost could make a room, yet, they were unable to feel temperature ( or pretty much any other physical aspect of their surroundings ).
Morty decided to stop by a small coffee shop he held very dear, since it belonged to family friends. Their hot cocoa was still the best he has ever tried, and there was no better way to start an interesting morning than drinking his favorite beverage.
“I think I’ll get two”, he added with a little smile. The clerk briefly watched him curiously. It was not usual in Morty to share his ( poor and non-healthy ) breakfast. Morty was a being of routines, that was true, and he loved nothing more than to keep it that way, but that day----- that day something exciting would happen. A premonition would take place, and he was secretly excited about it. Premonitions came before interesting events and interventions. And every interesting event and intervention could mean a step closer to Ho-Oh.
He walked down to a park until he noticed the sleek red hair of a rather thin figure. Morty wasn’t one to socialize with ( ex ) criminals, but if the scene was presented to him, then something important would unleash from this meeting.
“I hope you like hot cocoa. It’s a cold day and this will keep your body warm”.
And he offered the spared drink to the redhead with a little smile.
