Where: a village close to the Cliffs of Moher, Ireland
When: afternoon
Bellatrix did not give up. It was not in her DNA, though even she had to admit that her failure to locate Regulus was becoming worrying. Truth be told, she was reaching her limit, uncertain where else to search and who else to interrogate. She'd even been tempted to pay Andromeda a visit, such was her increasing level of desperation. But she was not yet at that much of a low.
Frank Longbottom had told her Regulus had been seen by the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. Putting that together with Severus's snippet about some cave or other, she'd set her mind to visiting the area. They'd holidayed here as a family in their childhood, so she concluded there was a chance that Regulus had grasped for the location as familiar territory - though why he'd be so sentimental, she had no idea. It did not bode well, and she did not wish to consider it.
Currently, she and Narcissa were stepping through the village, heeding cobblestones and finding themselves struck by the fact that not much had changed in the last fifteen years or so. At least, not much had changed in the surroundings. Their family, on the other hand, had taken hit after hit. It was now just the two of them, whereas five children had run riot through these winding streets the last time they'd been here. It was not a cold day, yet Bellatrix felt a chill in the air and reached for her sister's hand - to steady her in her pregnant state, of course. She would not be so weak as to require emotional security. She would not.
"Are you alright, Cissy?" Twisting their fingers together, she looked sideways and smiled. "If the walk is too much, we can turn back. The cliffs are not far."
Not that she would let Narcissa anywhere near the edge. She'd been open about why she wanted to visit. But she also wanted to give Cissa a break from Malfoy Manor and the chance to be involved with this search. They'd agreed she'd stay out of it, but this wouldn't hurt and perhaps the fresh sea air would do them both some good.
