It was Simone’s day off and though she could’ve been at home, relaxing, she took the chance to run some errands. She’d never been good at just sitting at home doing nothing anyway. The nanny was sick and so she had Addie with her all day, not that she minded. She felt like she hardly got much time with her lately, work had been so busy and despite everything, she enjoyed her time with her daughter so much.
The grocery store wasn’t the. highlight of the day but Simone always found it so amusing how delighted Addie was by the rows and rows of groceries in the store. It had to be the colors, she was sure. She was pushing the cart, Addie in the little baby seat, out the doors when someone caught her eye.
She’d been busy chatting to her daughter, though she knew she couldn’t speak back, it was developing her language skills. But then she saw him and froze. Frowning, Simone wasn’t sure if it was Judah...he’d been gone for a long time, she couldn’t imagine he’d just show back up in town out of the blue. Except, as she made her way towards her car, her eyes caught his and she knew, undoubtedly, that he was back.
“Judah?”
