Adrien was fine. A little unsteady from the force they’d hit the wall with, but fine. It didn’t look like Johnny was the same though. “Shit.” He swore silently in French as he’d darted to make sure he wasn’t landing face-first. His adrenaline was still pumping and his first instinct was to just double-check that the would-be robbers were incapacitated before turning to his sister and calling out directions in a hurried tone. Rosie was diabetic, the siblings both knew a crash when they saw one but they still had to be sure.
The two had conversed in quick French while she pulled out her test kit and Adrien helped where she needed. By the time Rosie had read off the glucose level (definitely low enough to be the cause) Sue had spotted them and rushed over. “He’ll be okay, he wasn’t hurt.” He supplied before Sue could even ask.
“He needs to eat better.” Rosie lightly scolded as she put her kit away, her accent nowhere near as thick as her brother’s. “His sugar’s low, don’t let him drive and make sure he has something with sugar. Not enough that he’ll have another crash right away.”
“Rosie, she’s a scientist. I’m sure she knows this already.” Adrien pointed out, his sister didn’t care. She was continuing to rattle off proper care for a hypoglycemic episode.
