Though Adam wasn't really a spiritual person, the candles weren't something he took issue with. It was a nice gesture, and they bought and lit one for their father, quietly dreading the day he would be doing the same for his mother. With that done, he turned to his roommate. The two had decided to check out the festivities together.
"Where to? I heard there are some performances going on, or they've decorated the forest path. I'm good with whatever, as long as we grab something to eat before we leave."
