When getting back into town, he knew he had to get a job sooner rather than later. He only had so much savings that he could coast on before he would need income, and he wasn't about to go looking for help from his family. It seemed like a no-brainer to call the fire station, especially when he'd spent the last several years fighting fires in another city. Rei could only hope he wouldn't see anyone who recognised him on the way.

To his surprise, when he arrived at the fire station, there was a face he was actually happy to see. "You wouldn't happen to know if there's a job opening here, would you?"

She’d been kissing someone else. 

Someone that wasn’t him. 

Bishan had exited the tavern like he would exit any other place, as if he didn’t care much for anything. It wasn’t how he felt inside, but he wasn’t new too pretending nothing was up. Hand in the pockets of his kaki’s, Bishan went to find one of the few people he hadn’t seen at the party, aimlessly moving through Fairvale until he spotted the tall frame at the school’s playground of all places, smoke bellowing up from the cigarette in his hands. 

“No interest in seeing drunk people try to preform classics?” he asked, walking up to Caleb with a smile on his face, his pain barely visible. Why of all people he sought out Caleb, he didn’t really understand, maybe it was the understanding that passed so easily between them, maybe it was the neediness and greed deep down that felt cheated on and wanted revenge.

Caleb: As if I could say no after that little video. Is that what's waiting for me when I get there?

Every time another attack happened, their anger would motivated their drive for more patrols. Judas had already killed a handful of Artemis followers and while they normally didn't thirst for violence, they did in this case. Of course, they made sure to have a buddy with them on their patrols. The last thing he needed was to get caught by himself and put in a bad situation. Naz and Arjun would certainly chew his ear off for it if he did.

They checked their phone again to make sure this was the right meeting place, but they saw their friend when they looked up. "And here I thought I was getting stood up," he called with a chuckle.

"... Well, thanks for passing along the message. I'm still deciding if I want to speak with him."

Jasper was enduring a rather painful conversation right now, having been blocked in by the woman as she ranted at him about, well Merlin knows what topic she was on now, but he was suffering and he needed an out. Spotting someone else walking past them he realized that this could be his break for freedom, “Hey, sorry I know I was supposed to meet you like ten minutes ago, I just got caught talking to-” He gestured to the woman in front of her, already having forgotten her name as he made his break. “Sorry, I know you don’t know me but please can you pretend and I’ll buy you a coffee.” He begged the stranger.

Ian decided to see what Caleb was up to, but mostly get some insight on what his next moves were. After all, they were in New York City, which is where their home was and Ian wasn’t sure if his siblings were going to visit their home or not. He didn’t want to be the only one who did, or even more, the only one who didn’t. He wanted to get a feel on what his siblings were doing. “Hello, brother.” He greeted his younger sibling, quite dramatically, as he stood before him in the common area of the mansion. “So, what do you plan on doing during you stay in the extraordinary concrete jungle?” He said, clear sarcasm on the choice of adjective.
