Carlos was still suspicious of this whole thing. What kind of place gave them rides in nice cars like the one they’d come over in, allowed them candy for free, let them talk amongst themselves without worrying that they were going to plan something terrible? They were evil, after all. Or, well, the children of evil. But that was basically the same thing, wasn’t it? They were meant to be as terrible as their parents, and yet they seemed to be free to move around as they wanted to without concern.
Mostly without concern, at least. The other students were worried, but definitely not the teachers. Not even all of the other students. There was one notably not worried, the prince that was the reason they were there. Suspicious. And to think, they were the villains. They had to figure out what was up with that, and the girls were too distracted to bother with them. And so, with a glance at Jay as their class ended, Carlos broke free of the herd and rushed to catch the prince’s arm and, thus, his attention. “Hey. Have lunch with us. We wanna talk.”
Lydia was always smart, always that slightest bit uncaring, and she could put the two together for a deadly combination. Only it wasn't just a lack of empathy; layers within her that hadn't been uncovered, hidden away until she could find someone... someone that she could actually rely on, trust with this. That she could manipulate, corrupt, into doing what she wanted of them. It wouldn't be hard, once she found 'the one'. Everyone always told her that she had a pretty face, that she could make all the boys in town trail after her as long as she battled her eyelashes and smiled at them nicely enough. Lydia just had to wait it out - Jackson wasn't the right man, and she didn't know who would be... It was just a matter or waiting it out.
Stiles though, Stiles was... Different. Annoying, infuriating and managed to wind her up in every possible way even though they were friends, could have been more on more than just one occasion. It was the last time she rejected him that she began to... notice things. Thing that she'd read about in the bestiary that she'd stolen from Allison's home over a few weeks ago, unknown to the hunter. He was possessing qualities of something-- something specific, and Lydia didn't know how to confirm it, didn't know if he even knew. So she had to be careful about it. She had to bat her eyelashes, smile prettily and twirl her hair around her fingers - and so it was what she done, a grin painted on her face as she walked over to the taller teenager. "Hey, Stiles." She all but purred upon reaching him.
Dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery.
The action of making someone or something morally depraved or the state of being so.
Menacing clouds formed as the tyrannical magician known simply as Judar roamed the cold, city streets, keeping his mind focused on the mission at hand. Surely, spurring one's soul into depravity should not be that difficult of a task considering he had seen members of his own organization do so successfully. There were plenty of people who felt powerless, limited and feeble in comparison to many of the towering titans who had achieved a certain level of status and reputation - including himself. For those individuals, the temptation of being provided with sufficient enough strength to thrive would be worth the cost - any cost, to be exact.
Like a ravenous animal on the prowl, snakelike optics scouted the nocturnal roads for susceptible beings as the imperial shinkan levitated in a celestial ascent above the metropolis. Shadowed silhouettes of nightlife filled the Magi's perimeters, viewing the residents with malicious intent. With the recent events taking place--the natural disaster, the preemptive strike on the 'soiree', and the general distortion due to newer abductees--Hive City was basically a breeding ground for negativity. There was no reason he couldn't accomplish his goals. Within due time, an entity radiating pure negativity would appear before the depraved wizard.
Coyly, the serpent landed from above in a graceful fashion. Even in dimmed lighting, extravagant jewelry radiated. Swaggering from side-to-side with both hands placed inside of his baggy pockets, scarlet hues pierced in the darkness, outlined within the shadows. Without further ado, a voice emanated distantly, only increasing in poignancy the closer he came to his target.
"Oi, you there. You look like someone who's reached rock bottom. As if you're down on your luck, living day-to-day wondering when you're finally gonna be exalted from this immeasurable pain... you must feel weak, worthless, pathetic, and above all... confused."
Slowly sauntering, the man's bodily features finally were fleshed out underneath a series of streetlights. An attractive young man with a peculiar sense of style stood tall, despite the fact that he was average in build and height. He continued, nonchalantly questioning the being further.
"After all, how is it that there were people who could easily take your life at whim? It's an extremely unsettling reality, isn't it? Well, they don't have to win! No! You hold the power to choose the path of your own destiny."
Each word, laced with unprecedented venomous potency as the wizard surged forth in a flashy way, blasting himself forth with the use of his signature carmine wand. Soon, the Magi stood beside the figure, lowering the volume in his voice to accommodate the intimacy between the pair.
"You're not a stranger to trusting your most primal urges, correct? And did those experiences grant you the result you wished for? Think about it. I'm sure you can agree that the power of the mind far surpasses ANY limitations placed on you!"
Numerous blackbirds (known as Rukh) swarmed ferociously around the personage as each word resonated deep within their core, already feeling their spirit slip to a rather unholy force. An unexplainable feeling overcame the being's essence, feeling their innocence slipping through their fingertips with no resolve in sight. Placing a hand on the character's shoulder, a final suggestion entered the individual's ear canal and infiltrated their mind.
"You aren't nearly as weak as you may feel. I'm here to tell you that you can shift that negativity into incredible power like my own. All you have to do is feed into your emotions, no matter how vile. Let the negativity flow into your heart and curse your fate. Only then will you achieve your true desires."
...and that was when the Black Sun had successfully casted an eclipse over the unfortunate soul, watching in satisfaction as yet another fell victim to the evils the world had to offer.
