Roxana wondered if it's common for small cities like Bearcreek to have random events. There was always some function in Philly, but with how large the city is, you rarely kept track of them. Given the size of Bearcreek and that Chase told her of the carnival, Roxana knew it was a matter of time before she crossed its path during her weekend excursion. After Chase told her about the carnival, Roxana found all the information on the city's site and read that there would be a fireworks show. Happy as can be at a doggy daycare, Kiba was given a little puppy sedative in case the fireworks scared him. There's no way Roxana will bring him to the carnival as he'll drag her around the grounds in hopes of catching any stray food crumbs.
After her arrival, Roxana entered the ticket booth line, ready to purchase a decent amount for games and rides. She busied herself on her phone, skimming Instagram (under an alias), and tapped into an ad for a face cream. While she looked at the reviews, someone joined the line behind her. Roxana gave them a cursory nod and hesitated. "Dom?" she asked, hoping to whatever higher being was listening that she didn't fuck up his name. "Hi. It's Roxana. We met at the..." another beat of hesitation, "cornhole game." The inner eye-roll commenced, for she loathes the name. "Did you just get here?"
