Neptune had been avoiding drinking for the day, usually he'd at least have a beer or a margarita but he'd figured out Finch's feelings towards people getting drunk and rowdy. He could always have one later if he really needed one. Right now he was content to lay on a towel next to Finch, looking over at him and grinning slightly. “Don't get me wrong ice skating was fun but do think I like summer way more,” he said as he reached over and ran his fingers through the hair on the side of Finch's head.

Knightley was sitting at a table with Finch sipping at his water as he glanced at Jaiden and Zarina for a moment. He felt a smile tug at his lips before turning his attention back to Finch and huffing out a laugh when he saw what Finch was staring at. Or more accurately at who. Reaching across he tapped him on the chin to close his mouth, “You know if you'd rather do more than just stare at your boyfriend I won't be offended,” he quipped, “I'm fairly certain his sister is willing to share him.”

Xander was fixing a jammed cabinet, reinstalling the door on what had been claimed to be the Kirby cabinet. At any other time he'd find it kind of funny that had been the one to end up busted, laughing lately though rarely happened. Hearing the door to the clinic open he glanced over spotting Finch, he'd seen him around Knightley a few times and gave a wave from the floor. "Hey he stepped out to talk with Zarina, he might be a minute. But if it's an emergency I can run over and grab him for you?" He hesitated before standing up, "Or if it's something small I can try and help?"

Ego was inescapable for the conscious mind - she heard that some time ago in a university lecture. As it played out, humans took any chance they could get to check how they look. All of them from the beginning of existence until now. It’s the same as anyone does, the quick glance in the reflective surface as you pass it by. Vex wasn’t immune to it either. She had four checks in the span of seconds: hair, eyeliner, stockings and shoes.

This time Vex’s eyes didn’t focus as they were meant to. Instead, her attention was drawn to the man standing looking at himself too. Even more so, she was zeroing in on how odd the buttons of his coat looked. She knew she was staring for longer than what could ever possibly be considered a casual glance.

“Excuse me,” Vex points a single finger at his abdomen and offers her unsolicited observations, “That looks wrong. Not bad just, something looks off. The buttons aren’t done up properly I think.”

Knightley had opted to take a small break from working at the clinic, most Commune members who were able we're more comfortable being treated at home which had him booked. This also had him trying to schedule his time better to still meet with people, even if some of them also doubled as house calls in town. Walking out into the gardens he spotted Finch and gave a small wave. He'd been doing his best to keep an eye on him, but overall Finch seemed to be doing relatively well all things considered. "Have time for a break, or are you as much of a workaholic as I am?" he quipped, "Personally was getting a little claustrophobic in the clinic."

"You know when you said gardening I thought it was like, with the mini rake and shovel thingy," Neptune said. Though considering this was to plant crops for the Commune to eat maybe he should have expected this. "Least I don't have to go to gym today now," he said pausing to wipe at his face with the bottom of his shirt.

Neptune was double checking everything was set up properly for the ball, checking in regularly with Jovi and Karma, making sure they didn't need anything from him. Swinging by the bar he chuckled softly at Finch on his stool, "You sure you want to stay back here for the whole dance? Might be kind of boring," he added setting both hands on Finch's knees, "Don't think they'll kill me for taking you out on the floor for a dance, if you want?"

Xander waved at Finch as he walked out of the Commune into the garden, followed by Neptune who had his hands stuffed into his pockets. "Hey Finch, think you could do me a favor? We just finished a tour of the house. I was hoping you could show them the way to the dance hall?" Giving Finch a look that he hoped conveyed why he didn't particularly want to be the one to do it. "This is Neptune and-" Xander blinked in confusion when he noted they were missing Karma. "Uh-.."

Neptune chuckled, "Yeah she does that, anyways like he said I'm Neptune or N if it's easier. Xander here said you knew a shortcut to the dance hall? Got a job there with my sister, so I can always just show her later." He didn't really get why Xander couldn't do it, he'd seemed happy enough to do a tour of the town until Neptune mentioned where he'd been hired.
