@masterchiefhayes sent: “And they were roommates”
It wasn’t easy, living on a street cop’s salary. Sure, there was the money he had left over from his college fund, but that had gone towards the deposit and first month’s rent. He’d thought, idealistically, that he could do it without getting a roommate, that he would be able to afford the place on his own. After six months of living on nothing but ramen noodles and peanut butter crackers, he knew differently. So he’d put out an ad for a roommate and well- now he was here, staring at six feet of SEAL as his roommate, Jason, worked out in the living room.
Tony himself was more of a running guy than a push ups and sit ups guy. Especially shirtless. He was fit, he knew that, but Jason Hayes took fit to a whole new level. Standing in the kitchen with his cup of tea in his hand, Tony cleared his throat, letting Jason know he was there. He’d learned not to surprise the other man that first week. Being pushed up against the wall with a heavy arm against his throat had been... eye opening. But Tony didn’t surprise Jason anymore and Jason didn’t push him against any walls. It was all good.
“So... I know I said make yourself at home but... shirtless? Really?” Tony had one eyebrow raised in question, a small smirk on his face. “If I’d known I was going to get a show every morning I would be paying you to live here.”
