someone could love you more || alex & lance
It was almost 7 am and Alexander has been up all night, tossing and turning on his bed. Up and slightly hungover. Both alcohol-induced hangover and a kind of a moral hangover. He looked over the asleep person next to him and let out a deep sigh. It wasn’t anything unusual that he and Lance hooked up after a few too many drinks at some party. It was always a good fuck but this time, it felt TOO GOOD, almost as if they were IN LOVE. It was way more intimate than Alexander would ever expect from a casual hook up; there were no sloppy kisses and rushing into it, instead, the kisses were too soft and the touches were too gentle.
Quietly, not wanting to wake Lance up, Alexander finally got up from the bed and headed to the kitchen. He focused his attention on making a pot of coffee and trying to get some food into his system. At this point he was ready to even go through his Civil Code notes, despite the fact the letters would just jump in front of his eyes, making him even more nauseous. Anything to distract himself from the flood of thoughts going through his head right now. He couldn’t be falling for his mate, this was simply out of the question. He was in love once, it ended so horribly that Alexander had sworn he’ll NEVER fall for anyone ever again. He’d rather die alone than endure this pain and suffering one more time.
He didn’t know for how much time he had been sitting in that kitchen, sipping on coffee and trying to force a croissant in his body. Caught up deep in his thoughts, he didn’t even notice that he had a company.
