mina groans. everything hurts. things she didn’t even know could hurt feel like they’re on fucking fire. she blinks slowly at the sound of his voice. she can’t place it, but it sounds like he’s trying to help her and she could desperately use any help right now. she starts to try to sit up, but nope, that’s not happening right now. “where am i?” her voice is hoarse and sounds wrong to her own voice ears.

mina sets her bag down and takes the first relaxed breath she’s taken since this whole thing started. she knows her father is going to take care of it if it’s the last thing he does (and she certainly hopes it isn’t), but she still had a hard time even thinking about going back to her place. she looks over at merrick and reaches out to take his hand in hers. “thank you for letting me stay with you. i feel so much safer already.”

mina feels stupid for being upset because technically, they weren’t dating, but they also weren’t not dating. either way, it sucks to see them going instagram official with someone approximately 12 hours after ghosting her. she’s already too in her feelings to do anything but go along with the hug and she sniffles against mat’s shoulder. “i must really look pathetic if you’re here to comfort me.”

Noah counted himself lucky that most of his classes now were on the job, but that didn’t save him from the classroom. He had holed himself up in a study room for the majority of the day, and obviously quizlet was lying to him when it proclaimed he had learned everything. He had been half asleep on the desk when he heard the door open, blinking hard. “’M sorry,” He murmured, stifling a yawn. “If you need the room, I can head out. I think I’m doomed no matter what.” He joked, closing his laptop.
