with their acoustic guitar in hand, verónica walked into buzz house, looking around. they took note of the single chair and microphone near the front before they ventured further into the shop. ave wasn't planning to disrupt dante - they just wanted to say thank you for letting them play at the shop before getting started. when they first mentioned their bad to him, he probably thought it would be the whole band, but ave had been working on some things since the night they met and wanted to test them out on a crowd before presenting them to their bandmates.

they walked into the back of the shop, smiling a bit when they saw dante. "hey," verónica said, giving him a small wave. "thanks for letting me play tonight."

“Here-” Samuel smiled, handing the other the flower crown made of daisies he had been made as the two of them sat outside soaking up the sun. “Something to add that extra bit of seasonal spring time to your outfit. That and aren’t Queen’s supposed to be wearing a crown at all times?” He teased.

closed starter for @honeyedblossom​ @lcvelymxnifest​ @wickedthiswaycomes​ | a chasing sundays thread

             “okay so i don’t know what you guys were thinking, but i thought maybe we could open with the new song. you know the one we just finished last week?” ave said as they crossed one leg over the other. “or do you think we should close with that and start with one of our older songs?” this was not their first performance, but for some reason, they were just as nervous. it might have had a little do with the venue of the upcoming gig. “what do yo think?” they asked, tapping their pen against the notebook, ready to write down the set list for the show.

Samuel had treated himself to a late showing of a movie, he was feeling restless and he knew nothing could calm him better then seeing something on the big screen with a big bag of popcorn. He was looking down to his phone as he walked the dark streets until he saw someone sitting on the edge of the path, putting the device away he started to make his way towards him to offer help. It was only when he neared closer that he recognised the girl and his concern shot up- his pace hastening as he crouched down, a hand on her head as he tried to look at her face in the dim light. “Veronica? Hey- are you okay? Why are you sitting on the ground.”

It's girl's night at the coffee shop Veronica likes so naturally she asked Beth if she wanted to come. As much as Veronica values alone time she also knows when she needs to be with people and tonight she could use the company. Beth is good company. They can both get lost in people watching but they can also have discussions like this, personal.

She takes a sip of her coffee and thinks about it. If she's being honest there was a time when she liked that stuff. Where she thought it was what she deserved. She likes to think she's learned more about herself now.

"I used to," she tells Beth. "Back when I was wild...er than I am now. I liked it. Now, I think a little sexy talk is okay but I don't want to be degraded. I want to know I'm sexy and desirable, loveable. I don't want someone to call me names or tell me I'm bad or anything like that. But sweet names and whispering what they want to do to me? As long as it's not gross, I generally like it. I like being desired."

veronica didn't spend all their free time at buzz house, but they spent enough of it there since making things official with dante. and it was mostly only on the nights that they had plans together when he got through with work. noticing the time, aves started packing up their things and went up to order a hot chocolate for the way home. "and how is my favourite tattoo artist slash coffee shop owner doing today?" aves asked, smiling at dante.
