one thing about brayden was that he was a relatively jealous guy and it was no surprise to him that a couple of his teammates wanted what he had. “hey,” he started, furrowing his brows as his arm came around his girlfriend, “watch your mouth. she’s my girl and i’m not gonna stand for the shit.” he could feel the tension rising and regardless of that, he didn’t stand down. “i think she deserves an apology, like now.”

brayden turned in his seat to look at leanne before his interview. they were behind closed doors, waiting in his dressing room for it to be time for him to go out in front of everyone. his hands came up to rest on her hips, smiling up at her. things between them had obviously changed since the kiss the two of them shared in the car and now, they were seeing each other. they decided that keeping it on the downlow was for the best but he was admittedly having a hard time with it. he chested his chin against her stomach, “think you can give me a good luck kiss before the show?”

it really wasn’t all that surprising that brayden had been the last of the players in the locker room after practice. he always stayed on the field a little longer, which meant he was the last one in the showers and so on. he climbed out of the shower, a towel around his waist as he moved to his locker to put some of his clothes on and stopped as he saw leanne waiting for him. “i-how did you get in here?” he chuckled, his hand immediately coming to the top of his towel to make sure it didn’t fall. “whatever you have to say must be pretty important.” he teased his assistant. he figured she thought he would’ve been dressed by now but unfortunately, he always took his time. “if you want to wait outside, i’ll be there in a minute...unless you just want a show.”
