“I’ve never been on a spaceship for Valentine before. I like it.”
@soulstcne liked for a random starter
Daisy paused in the doorway, scanning the diner for a good spot. There was one in the farthest corner, close enough to the back door to make a quick escape if needed, but also far enough to remain inconspicious. The last thing she needed was someone recognizing her and making her presence known when she was on a mission.
Sirius draped himself over Daisy with a grin, clinking her cup against his and taking a sip before trying to assemble his features into a more serious expression, though he wasn't sure how successful he was. "Daisy, I will pay you double to tattoo me right now."

"If that's what a hero is I'm glad I'm not one anymore." - Diego to Daisy
Daisy wasn’t buying what he was selling. Quirking an eyebrow, she silently walked around him and came to a stop behind him before pulling one of his knives free from his belt.
“You couldn’t stop if your life depended on it, Diego.” After all this time, she knew better by now. Where there was fire, Diego was running straight for it, knives flying as he did.
"Knives are for real men; anything else is too quick. I like it slow and accurate." Diego winked at the woman before knocking back his water, a strange order in a bar. - for Daisy
“As long as it’s not too slow...” she trailed off purposely, grinning as she took a swig of her less healthy drink. It had been a hard day. No, it had been a hard couple of years, and Daisy really needed something stiffer than a glass of water.
“What do you do when you run out of knives though? Can’t just push a clip in and keep fighting.” Not that she always needed her guns though. Daisy always had her power to fall back on, but for Diego the knife-throwing WAS his power. What did he have to fall back on?
‘ you are not required to love your parents, or to even like them. ’ {from grant ward to daisy (in my default verse for him, he was always with shield and double-crossed Garrett)}
“Maybe not, but that sounds a little too simple to me,” she told him honestly, crossing her arms as she thought of the woman who had birthed her. It still hurt to a degree, knowing how Jiaying had used her and nearly killed her was a sore subject.
And she had gotten to know Cal when he was twisted and evil, although he hadn’t really been that man when he started out and she really did care about the man he truly was on the inside, the guy running that clinic now.
“I like Cal. He’s done some unforgivable things, but I-- I don’t know. I just do. --Now anyway.”
Daisy wouldn’t discuss this with just anyone, but she trusted Ward completely. He had been a real douche at first, but she liked how he trained this rookie into being an actually good SHIELD agent. That, and there was something between them she couldn’t deny. It went far beyond the superficial flirtations in between training sessions, and the brunette thought he felt it, too.
❛ You can bet if someone ordered a male body part for religious sacrifice, the world would be atheist ❜ – *snaps* – ❛ like that! ❜ {from Jemma Simmons to Daisy Johnson}

"I don’t know. I think it would depend on the body part,” Daisy countered, trying her best to keep a straight face.
“You do not fear death.” (with Sif @ Daisy)
@memorystxrs | dark knight rises
“I’ve nearly died before--” she started, trying to shrug it off as if it wasn’t that big a deal. Even if it was the start to many horrible discoveries.
“But I’m not fearless... “ Meeting Lady Sif’s eyes, she gave her a small, sad smile. “I’m really, really scared when it’s the people I care about. I don’t want to lose them, y’know?”
Daisy had lost to much already in this lifetime. She didn’t know if she could go on without the only REAL family she had ever found. They might not be blood, but they were more her family than anyone else in this world.
