Elias was never fond of demons, he didn’t quite enjoy them when they were around and the mischief they made only agitated him further. But all the same he couldn’t really do anything to stop them, so in the end he would just try to stay away from them. Avoid them if he could but not try to stop them. There would be no point in doing that, especially since the characters they tended to manipulate and attack were humans. A race of creatures that he didn’t enjoy despite being at least half apart of them.
A dream demon was one he hadn’t encountered yet though. He didn’t figure that a being like the one levitating before him would ever appear in his mind. Granted it’s not like he kept his mind extremely guarded in most cases, who would want his thoughts anyways? But the fact that a creature like him came and appeared without any warning seemed redundant in the best. Why didn’t he visit some human, one with far more influence on this world than he obviously had.
He didn’t know if the being before him, Bill Cipher, would be cruel or cold. How his personality would fare... But there was one thing that made this entire encounter at least somewhat more than just an annoyance. Elias was insanely curious. Why would anyone consciously come to his mind, why would anyone wish to see him if anything? It just didn’t make sense to him, but all the while why would he understand a race of individuals that he had virtually no part of whatsoever.
“Considering everything,” Elias began gesturing to the forest landscape around them, it was eerie, quiet, ancient looking. The gnarled branches of the trees reached up to the heavens as if they worshiped the sky. There were no animals, no creatures to hide in the underbrush. The most that was there to give any discernible features to the landscape was a singular dream catcher that hung from a branch of one of the larger trees.
“I cannot begin to fathom why you’d come here. There’s nothing here really but the thoughts of an Ancient Magus.”
