being in love wasn’t an experience that ellie ever though she’d experience but the moment annabel came into her life, she knew she was in trouble. smiling as she spoke the the blonde on the phone, she leaned into the fridge and bit down on her bottom lip. “yeah? you’re almost here?” she asked, taking in a deep breath. “good because there’s something i’ve been wanting to ask you.” she felt serious enough about their relationship to want to take it a step further and she just hoped that her girlfriend felt the same way. “let yourself in, baby. i’m gonna start dinner. i can’t wait to see you.”

@strawberrylaceswrites Marcus glanced over at the girl for a moment as they found their way to a table and rolled his eyes laughing at her for a moment as he brought the drinks over to them. As he took a seat he looked over at her for a brief moment, “I mean it would be great.” He smiled, “So Ellie, in all seriousness, why are you sceptical about love and relationships? Why do you think you’re going to hurt someone?” 

Ellie took a seat as she took a sip of the drink hearing his words, this was the moment she was dreading, she had been avoiding the conversation with anyone for years and avoiding opening up to anyone in a long time. "Marcus look it's difficult. I was a hopeless romantic before my mom passed away and i was happy with someone, I was in love with him we had been together for about 7 years, and then I fell into a dark path, i ended up cheating on him with some random person in a bar... then I slept with this girls boyfriend because I didn't care and then I did it again." She sighed as she cupped the cup with both hands and sighed a little looking over at him, "See i am a mess and I don't want to hurt anyone else, I especially don't want to hurt you either."

ellie’s face lit up the moment the two of them climbed off of the airplane. this trip had been something the two of them had been planning for a while and it was something that was finally happening since ellie was finally done teaching for the school year. her hand held onto her girlfriend’s and she led them toward baggage. “i know you’re probably exhausted from traveling but can we at least get changed and go out to dinner? i won’t ask for anything else, baby. please.” she practically begged.

ellie knew that it was near the end of her girlfriend’s shift but she wanted to surprise her at work. luckily for her, it was pretty much pouring outside and so no one would look at her weird if she came in with a hood on. she was planning on going straight to her section and hiding her face until she approach, an excited giggle left her lips the moment she exited her car after parking outside of the diner. she jogged in, wearing her matching rain boots and did as she planned, plopping down in a booth and hiding the wide smile on her face. once she was approached, she pushed her hood down and looked up at her, “are you on the menu?”

ellie had two bags full of chinese food hanging off of her arms as she walked toward annabel’s apartment from her car. an excited smile rested across her face because she was looking forward to spending more time with the girl and she had decided to surprise her with dinner since she did say she would be off by seven every night. she knocked, glancing down at her outfit and smoothing over the fabric. she was nervous and not in a bad way but it was just that annabel was the first girl to actually give her a chance and she was hopeful that maybe...she would be her first girlfriend too.

Ellie 100% had a hard time telling people no and so when this guy approached her and began to talk to her, she did her best to feign interest. Truthfully, she’d came to the party to see who she could meet of the same sex but she hated to be rude. Her sexuality was something she very much struggled with and she really did want to be open with it, she especially so that she could avoid situations like the one that she was currently in, but it wasn’t that easy for her. She was very much terrified of letting her adoptive family down and making them wish they’d never taken her in. Maybe her fear was irrational or maybe it wasn’t, either way she wasn’t planning on coming out any time soon. At least not to them.

Eventually, the guy got closer to Ellie and even went as far as to put a hand on the small of her back in attempt to lead her toward the dance floor. She couldn’t help herself from looking around with a panicked look on her face in hopes that someone, anyone would come save her. It wasn’t that she couldn’t stomach a dance with a random guy but it was that she wasn’t getting good vibes from him and she wanted to get out of this situation as soon as she possibly could.

closed starter for @strawberrylaceswrites Ellie needed to see Hepburn it had been a while and Anastasia was nearly 2 and she needed to see her goddaughter as much as she needed to talk about Marcus to her. She hadn't felt this way about someone in a longtime and she needed to share how she felt with her best friend. It would have been good if lily could have joined for the little girly day but she was going to have to accept just Hepburn which was okay. Ellie and Hepburn had been through so much together from the day they met. As she arrived at Hepburn's place, she was greeted at the door by both Hepburn and Anastasia who was equally excited to see her. "Hey munchkin." She said as she picked Ana up before looking over at her best friend, "Hey my gorgeous best friend, how have you been?"

ellie had to admit that she was thoroughly embarrassed about her behavior towards the er nurse that had helped her a couple of nights before. she’d managed to trip over a container of christmas decorations and when she caught herself, she managed to break her wrist in the process and then when they were feeding her pain meds, she’d quite obviously flirted with the nurse. she could only imagine how the other must feel. violated, maybe. she just wished the other would forgive her. she walked in, requesting to see her and when they called her to the desk, she held the flowers out. “i’m just here to apologize about the things i said the other night.”
