kimmie wanted nothing more than to hook her best friend up with her crush and she figured there was no better time to talk her up than when she wasn't working. she was doing the schedule for the week when she finally glanced up at the other, "so," she smiled slightly, leaning against the counter as she did so, "the fair's coming into town and i heard lainey wants to go. maybe you could ask her? i think you two would have fun...."

kimmie was more than stoked to finally being going on a date. to her, the thing about dating apps was that she could talk to plenty of people but she found it hard to get anyone to actually commit to a date. hy did though and she was looking forward to getting to know him better. the brunette was standing outside of the restaurant that the two were planning on meeting at when she noticed him walking in her direction. her face lit up but he didn’t seem as excited and she wondered if she should tone it down a little bit. “you made it.” she breathed out and stepped toward the other so slowly greet him with a hug. she narrowed down his expression to nerves because she thought that up until this moment, he seemed just as excited as she was. once she pulled back, her eyes landed on his. “are you ready to go inside? or did you change your mind?”

she very clearly wasn’t pleased by the fact that her best friend was with another girl. at first, she thought she was scared of losing her but the moment she saw her kiss her supposed girlfriend, she knew it was more than that. kimmie had grown feelings for the other woman. up until this moment, she’d been so sure that her feelings for the other were strictly platonic but now, she knew that wasn’t the case. distaste covered her features and she slowly approached the other two once they parted, her eyes meeting her best friend’s. “can i, like, talk to you?”
