A fete aka festival is the location, love oh boy is the theme. A smartphone sets it in Spira so we can use machina instead is an object that plays a part in the story.
Festival of the Chocobos. Prompto had been surprised to hear that Spira had chocobos; he had been more surprised to find there was a group of people willing to celebrate them. After meeting the host and hostess-- Clasko and Calli --the situation became less surprising. The two were clearly in love with the yellow birds. Why they were in love with such large, loud, discoloured ostriches was far beyond Prompto's comprehension, but the couple was. He guessed he didn't have too much room to judge them; he was a willing participant in the gathering, after all. One in a small handful.
A few Hypellos had shown up. They waved their hands in the air as they cheered about the party. Accompanying them, was a bizarre trio that would play a tune if you asked. The three swayed in sync with one another in a way that Prompto had to give them credit for. To top off the goofy guest list, was a clan of sphere-hunters-- Prompto had come to terms with the idea that they were a form of archaeologists --called The Gullwings. The gunman found himself rubbing his temple with two fingers as he played back the name in his head. It was no wonder the group had shown up; he could only guess how much they were into winged creatures. He laughed to himself, wandering out of the buzz of the gathering to gaze across the open fields that made their location.
The Calm Lands. The name was befitting. A warm breeze rolled across a green plane, ruffling blades of grass as it ran its fingers through the earth's hair. A makeshift market could be reached if you ran far enough. If you couldn't run that far, a giant fan could fly you to your destination. Aside from those forms of entertainment, and the chocopalooza happening behind the blond, the place was completely at peace. Though, there was one last thing that caught his attention-- he wanted to dismiss it as one of the patches of stone protruding from the earth, but something about it looked strange to him. It had a bit of a blue tint, from what he could tell. He could have sworn it moved if he stared long enough. Shrugging it off, he trailed back to the gathering and approached a blonde girl that looked to be the funnest of the bunch. He hoped that she had been dragged into this by The Gullwings' eccentric leader and wasn't absorbed by the bird spirit surrounding the place.
"Part of the Gullwings, huh?" he asked, placing his hands on his waist. "Looks like y'guys have a lot fun." He allowed his vision to brush across the different people standing around. It was an unusual set up, there was no doubt about it, but it did look like everyone was enjoying themselves. Prompto smiled. "Didn't think a bunch-a-people could get so stoked on chocobos."
