The Ruse { r&c }
The first thing that caught her eyes as soon as she stepped inside her rather unusually quiet house was her daughter’s discarded jacket on the couch which was followed by her bag on the floor. With her lips twitching slightly at the little mess, Caroline picked up the coat first and hung it in it’s rightful place by the door before proceeding to pick up the bag as well. They had barely seen each other since the party and she still had no idea what to make of her daughter’s friendship with Julian. Determined to spend the rest of the day with Roxy and to have a much needed mother-daughter time before Stefan or Trent came home, she called out knowing very well that the younger blonde was already locked in the sanctuary of her room. “Roxy! How many times do I have to tell you to leave your things in their right place?” Not a second later, she heard the footfalls descending down the stairs just like she predicted and the blonde raised her blue eyes expectantly. { @roxy-salvatore }
