Lies my uncle told me-Trent || Caroline
Trenton dropped his gaze to the floor when his mom mentioned wishing he was still in a car seat. “I appologize.” He whispered, feeling guilty for his rapid aging although he had no control over it. “Are you…mad?” he asked, lifting his gaze back up to stare out the window and now looking at her just yet. “Hates you? Why would he hate you? How could anyone hate you? How could anyone hate anything?” He asked. “Well… I do hate cherry flavored candy so… I guess you could hate stuff.” He said, smiling now. “We can… do whatever you want, mom.”
Reaching up with one of her hands, she ruffled his blonde locks with a small smile. “Like I said, you have nothing to apologize for! And no silly, I’m not mad at you. The same cannot be said for your uncle though.” Her smile widened at her son’s next onslaught of questions. “Let’s just say me and Damon don’t share a very happy past. We used to fight a lot... often like you and Roxy do!” Pinching his cheek playfully at his self-realization, “Did I tell you how much proud I’m of you-- you know what? Let’s do something you want to do today. Anything you want,I promise!”
