@ancientsmagic asked:
“you and i have very different definitions of right and wrong.” ( Lizzie @ Nim )
"It's less right and wrong and more... Look, I'm not above ending a life for a good cause, you've seen that. But dark magic? The Dark Arts are... they're evil. By definition. They're designed to make you want to do them more and more and I think every time you do, you lose a piece of who you are. You slip and slip and slip and then, suddenly, you're Victor Rookwood or you're in Azkaban. You're my father."
The words had tumbled out in a rather insistent manner, almost panicked. She'd been able to forgive the use of the Cruciatus Curse when the alternative was slow death, but not this. Not continuing. And it wasn't really for a moral reason. She just couldn't watch Sebastian or Lizzie go down that path. Nor could Ominis, she knew.
"Look, I have a theory with the ancient magic, okay? I know it didn't work for Isadora, but she was using it to remove something that was supposed to exist. Emotional pain is natural. Anne's curse isn't. It shouldn't exist, so I think it can be removed without hurting her. I wouldn't do it if I thought it would hurt her."
