inez had sent the message while high (though not nearly high enough to excuse it) and they’d been hoping that would be the end of it, but apparently not. sighing, she unlatched the door and opened it to the very last person she wanted to see. “listen, i was out of it when i sent that message.” so much for accountability. “but it’s probably, like, better if we don’t...y’know. you should go.”

“dawn, dude, i never thought i’d say this, but you gotta cut back on the solos a little. give the rest of us a chance, y’know? you can barely hear fran’s vocals over the wailing. she doesn’t exactly have, like, a powerhouse set of lungs or whatever, so...uh, no offense, fran.” inez grinned sheepishly at the others as she fidgeted with her drum sticks. “not tryin’ to hurt anyone’s feelings, but we gotta shape up if we’re gonna pull off this tour. and luna, i’m sorry, but your keyboard playing is way too happy-go-lucky. try hitting some minor keys for once, yeah?” a deep sigh of relief. “okay, that’s all my seriousness for like, the next month. who wants to get high?”
