A small smile tugged at Nadia's lips. "Tempting, but I'm going to have to pass," she replied, keeping a wide berth (or at least as wide as she could manage in an alleyway) when stepping past the body. Death didn't faze her, but she wasn't exactly raking in enough cash to be willing to ruin a pair of perfectly good boots. In the lower district, survival meant making your supplies last as long as humanly possible, including food, clothes, and even cybernetics. Lord only knew how many repairs she'd already had to get on the ones that Vanguard gave her and now seemed intent on getting back.
"Well, that's good to hear, since that's what I am now," she remarked, leaning against the wall on the other side of the alleyway. "Just a civilian, taking a shortcut on her way home. No need for us to make a big deal out of this, right?" She raised an eyebrow. "You recognise me, I recognise you, neither of us want to acknowledge that, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it's also true that neither of us have particularly fond feelings about Vanguard. I see no reason why we can't coexist down here."
