Daphne had been in the studio all day working at the new song with Lexi’s band. She had record of all the music and sent then home before recording the back up singing. Listening to the song so far it sounded good by as usual she needed to test how it went with lead vocal.

She set it up and begun recording her vocal that would be replaced by Lexi’s the next day. “Some days I'm broke, some days I'm rich, some days I'm nice, some days I can be a bitch. Some days I'm strong, some days I quit, I don't let it show, but I've been through some shit.” She sung, her eyes closed as she focused on the song, the passion in her singing extremely obvious.

Knowing full well it was Chaz’s birthday Daphne sent him a message asking for him to come pick up his present from her place, using the excuse that her car broke down as a reason she couldn’t bring it to him. She waited until she heard the doorbell ring and looked through the eye hole smirking before she opened it, revealing her robe that barely covered her lingerie set. “Happy Birthday, Charlie.. I might have forgotten to mention... Your present is me.”

It had been a hard couple of months for Daphne, of course with Chaz being sober and not being able to date him she had to find some sort of distraction, which for her ended up being a rather lovely guy named Christian. Strangely enough she had found him at the perfect time given her sister and family had been in town and were trying to give her grief about rejoining the tour and coming back to write songs for them. Thanks to Christian and his support she managed to fight back, even file a restraining order on them so she never had to deal with them hassling her again. From their it had been smooth sailing and the two were in a really good place, and given she was still friends with Chaz she felt in a good spot in her life.

It was after one of the boys concerts and they group had gone out to a party and have a few drinks, Daphne, Christian and Chaz sat in the corner talking casually when the music suddenly stopped only to come back as a sweet, soft melody. Daphne turned to Christian who she felt move with a confused look before noticing he was down on one knee, a ring box open in his hand with a stunning sapphire ring. “I know this is kind of fast but I feel this amazing connection with you, Daph and I wanted to wait for the right time and this feels like it, given we are surrounded by people you love and care about and in this moment I truly know I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” Daphne froze, speechless for a moment.

Daphne knew performing at this award show was going to be a big thing for her career but she also knew that he’d be there. That was why she had picked the dress she wore and why she planned on singing the song she’d written about him. She stood on the carpet posing for photos when she spotted him.

It had been over two weeks since the release of her duet with Clayton and now Daphne was at the release party for her new song. Many, many people had been invited including Dysfunctional Four, although she didn’t know about that.

She stood on the stage as the crowd gathered and soon enough the piano started and she begun singing her song, Knocking On Your Heart. As she sung her eyes scanned across the crowd, spotting Chaz who had a girl on his arm, the song becoming more emotional and her eyes starting to fill with tears.

Daphne hopped off the tour bus, rolling her eyes at the sigh that came from the awaiting fans. She walked through the crowd and it were as she were invisible until she heard someone calling her, “I’m sorry, who said my name?”

Daphne sat in the cafe looking down at the cup of coffee in front of her. She had been dragged from shop to shop by her step sister all day and finally managed to escape her when a group of fans showed. Although it was rather late she had managed to find this cafe which meant she could take time to relax a little by herself. Slowly she sipped at her coffee and let out a deep sigh.

It was the middle of the night, rain pouring outside and she was curled up in bed with Toni fast asleep on the end. When she heard a knock echo through the house she awoke and hopped out of bed, she was only wearing a tank top and booty shorts. Walking downstairs she walked to the door and opened, “Oh my- What are you doing here?”
