signs and symptoms \\ jinah + semi

“Come on Semi, the whole town is going to be attending. Even I’m going to the parade.” Jinah groaned, swirling her iced coffee around in her hand as the two women walked around the town on their shared day off.
Jinah had not had the opportunity to befriend too many people in Yunhwa. They were so cheerful and blissful, at least on the outside. Maybe it was because she was nearing thirty, or maybe it was her bad personality that made her seem unapproachable. Regardless of what it was, she was finding it difficult to match everyone’s energy and interact with them beyond professionalism or general politeness. Semi was an exception.
As another woman scorned by life, Semi was someone Jinah had found an easy attraction too. No fake smiling, no forced laughter. She could have her RBF on all day and Semi wouldn’t bother to care about her face. The two ended up bonding quickly over their complaints and shared interests. Jinah was grateful Semi had run into her at the grocery store her first week in Yunhwa.
Now, she was trying to convince the workaholic to take some time off for the town’s annual parade. “I know it’s all romance based stuff but come on, we’re not getting older. Let’s just enjoy it. Maybe you can find someone to forget the night with.” she winked, nudging the other before sighing, “Maybe I will, too.”
