Zach was enjoying a cup of coffee at Portside Coffee and reading the paper when out of the corner of his eye he saw something, or rather someone that made his heart drop and stopped him in his tracks. Approaching the counter of the very coffee shop he was in was none other than Nicole Sunitha herself. He would recognize the woman anywhere. The woman who had birthed his daughter, the woman who he had once envisioned forever with before life and expectations got in the way. While Zach had had countless dreams, and a few nightmares, of Nicole showing up in Turtle Bay, he never thought she would actually be here. He pinched himself under the table to convince himself this was indeed very much happening. Zach couldn't take his eyes off of her as she proceeded to order her coffee, wondering what the hell possessed her to show up here in town. His town. Once she finished ordering he practically sprang out of his chair, knocking it over in the process. 'Smooth Avery, not a great way to keep a low profile' he berated himself. He quickly righted his chair and made his way over towards her. "What the hell are you doing here?" He practically hissed doing his best to keep his voice down lest any curious ears be listening in. "Is Olivia here with you?" He asked looking around expectantly despite not seeing their daughter come into the coffee shop with her mom.

Whom: Nicole Sunitha (and Olivia)

Olivia had been asking for him and Nicole to take her to the playground at the community center for a while now and today was finally the day. Zach had promised Olivia they would go on his next day off and luckily it was a beautiful day outside. He couldn't wait honestly. He had missed out on so much and he wanted to make the most of the time he got. He wanted this day to be perfect so he decided he would make a picnic for them and then the could get ice cream after. They could make a whole day of it. Zach made chicken salad sandwiches for the three of them with the recipe he had gotten from his mom and packed some fruit, chips, sides, and a half gallon of strawberry lemonade in a picnic basket along with a blanket and anything else they might need.

Once Zach was sure he had everything they needed he made his way over to Nicole and Olivia's place. It wasn't far, but the distance still felt like it might as well have been a miles some days. He dreamed of the day when the three of them were together for good but he knew his actions were what had created the distance between them in the first place so he would endure it. At least they all lived in the same town now and he could see them a lot more, their existence wasn't the secret it had once been. Zach finally arrived at Nicole's place and knocked on the door. He was promptly greeted by a very eager Olivia. "Hi sweet pea." He said scooping her up into a hug. "Are you ready to head to the playground?" he asked though he already knew the answer. He couldn't help but smile affectionately as Olivia proceeded to squeal enthusiastically. And then Nicole appeared in the hallway looking radiant as ever, no doubt summoned by the sound of their daughter's excitement. Zach set Olivia down and nodded at Nicole. "Hey Nikki." He said with a charming smile. "You look incredible as usual. How are you doing?" He asked the tension between them hanging in the air for a moment. "Who's ready for an amazing day?" Zach asked looking between the two of them. "I made chicken salad sandwiches using grammy's special recipe." He said. Zach had been nervous about introducing Olivia, and Nicole, to his family at first but things had gone really well actually. His mom in particular had been overjoyed to welcome the two of them to the family. "Maybe we can even stop and get some ice cream after." He suggested with a smirk

Who: Zach and Zay

Where: Zay's place

Zach had heard the rumors, the growing rumblings around town that Zay had caused quite a stir at the New Years Ball engaging in some very public acts. Actions that reflected poorly on not only Zay but their entire family. Zack was disappointed but not surprised. As much as Zach had tried to impress the importance of upholding their family's reputation to Zay, stress that his actions affected more than just himself his brother never seemed to listen. Zay was always more concerned with immediate gratification, with satisfying his own wants and needs to stop and think about how these things. Zach tried not to let it bother him too much but he had let himself live with regrets for years, hurt Nicole and Olivia, missed out on countless moments with them under the belief that he was doing what was best for the Avery family name. He hadn't sacrificed all of that just for Zay to tarnish the family reputation over one night of fun. He needed to address this before his brother caused even more damage.

Before he'd really processed where he was going, Zach found himself outside of Isaiah's place knocking on the door. Then he was standing waiting impatiently for his brother to open the door. He knew Zay didn't have a job so he wasn't at work. Finally Zay opened the door and Zach gave him a disapproving look. "Can I come in? We need to talk." He said sternly not waiting for an an answer before he pushed past him and stepped into Zay's place. He waited until Zay had closed the door behind him. This was not a conversation the rest of the town needed to hear. "What's this I'm hearing about your.... indiscretions during the snowstorm?" Zach practically demanded crossing his arms as he stared Zay down disapprovingly. "When are you going to learn that your actions reflect back on this family? We have a reputation to uphold in this town Zay." He reminded him even though he was certain it would fall on deaf ears. It always did.
