who can she trust, now? if not her team, if not herself, then who? on the outside, vera remained collected, stoic. she had always been commended for her calmness under duress. but inside, she was far from composed. her mind, her body, they were starting to feel like they didn't belong to her, anymore. if felt as if someone had taken over, connected strings to her limbs and was controlling her from the inside out. the only person she could think of to tell vera now stood in front of, allowing the calm front to fall away somewhat as eyes land on carol. 'i'm waking up in places i don't remember going to, i'm having vivid dreams about people i don't remember meeting, i'm noticing bruises on my skin that i don't remember getting the day before — ' a look of hopelessness washes over her features. she felt like she was going crazy and couldn't stop it from happening.
