Nearly Ready - FGF?
On land off Otterham Quay Lane, Upchurch final - final works continue to prepare the site for < possible > building. The site is known locally as Four Gun Field.
About 2/3 of the site appears to be complete with works continuing on the remainder. Large concrete slabs are been put through the resident concrete crushing machine. Items that were thought to have left the site or crushed previously.
The extra work was requested after a surprise visit by Swale Borough Council ahead of < possible > full planning permission.
Fifty homes are to be built on the old brick works site by local company Nightingale Homes ( Upchurch ) Ltd.
The company have expressed a wish to retain the heritage of the site in some way.
