Theme Days are Returning!
Good news everyone!
I am feeling up to handling TWO theme days each week, so we are going to be resurrecting the OG theme days of Feel Good Friday and Terrific Tuesday. If you're new around here, FGF is for ADHD stuff that's actually benefitted you, while TT is for stuff you're proud of getting done.
There will be a reminder post in the morning on the day, and you can send in an ask or a submit with the thing you want to celebrate. I will collect all of these messages and post a roundup before I go to bed that night so we can all enjoy the positive vibes.
I'm really looking forward to this, and I hope we all get something out of it!

Feel Good Fridays Day 2
Stressed
12/31/21
Welcome back to another Feel Good Friday! Please enjoy this one where this week we talk about being stressed!
How To Identify Being Stressed
If you feel yourself lashing out at small things that aren't a big deal, or lashing out at others like friends and family, that's a good sign that your stressed.
Stress can also fall into being overwhelmed as well, and if you feel overwhelmed, you can get stressed from that too!
Another thing is the feeling that you're playing sudden death mode in Smash Bros.
How To Relax From Stress
To stop being stressed, follow these steps:
Identify what is stressing you. Is it too much work, homework, etc? Or just stressed for no reason.
Step away from what is stressing you, (or if nothing is stressing you, go outside) and take four breaths in, hold for five, and exhale for four. (It's simple but it really works.) Keep doing that til you feel yourself relax.
After you relax, go take a break. Go on a walk, watch a show you like, draw, etc. Just something relaxing. (If you get anxious about not working on what was stressing you, tell yourself, "I have permission to relax.")
After you relax for a bit, take another deep breath and head back to what you were doing.
Conclusion
Next time you feel stressed, remember to just walk away and take a break from what was stressing you. And again, if it was nothing, just go for a walk and relax anyway!
You deserve it!

Feel Good Friday Story
“DISGUSTING,” Wine sighed for what felt like the 100th time as he stood, lifting a brown box about the full width of the shoulders. “WHY DO WE HAVE SO MUCH CRAP!? I THINK WE COULD HAVE JUST LEFT MOST OF THIS BACK IN THE UNDERGROUND.” He was complaining back as he was looking through the stuff he knew that most of that was not true. Some of this stuff was from when they were still just in hiding...he didn't remember much of it being the younger of the two, but some he noticed.
A sense of dread and uneasiness fell over the (façade/ outward appearance) of the hardened warrior he acted like as he opened one of the first boxes.
It was his first training uniform, neatly pressed and wrapped. Likely done by his brother when he upgraded to a real position. A low uneasiness sank into his rib cage and then into his soul.
One piece, an out of place mark on it...that stupid patch job Coffee had tried to sew up for him when he made a stupid move and lost his sight.
A low, deep, annoyed growl left him as he threw it back into the box and slowly took a breath, giving it (the thing/offending object would be good here) a slight kick to the back of the closet. That...That one will be dealt with later.
“HOW MANY MORE ARE DOWN THERE PAPYRUS!?” While he did seem to have a rough grunt in his voice, he did seem to have a still soft sound deep within that could only be heard by his older brother.
He gave a low grump as he heard the shuffling of the boxes down the stairs. He really needed to remember to lower his voice.
A look out the window made him remember once more that yes, it was true. They were on the surface and no crazy queen was controlling their every movement. While looking out the window, though, something caught his eye socket.
Was that?
With grace he really shouldn't have used and the fight with gravity that was suddenly lost, he took a tumble and landed hard on his wrists. “FUCK!”
Coffee came running up the stairs as he heard Wine fell into a few open boxes. The smaller of the skeletons was helped back up with what looked to be a semi burned cook book in hand.
“....Sans…” Coffee's voice came soft and concerned seeing the book in his brother's grip. “I...thought you threw that away?”
Wine had started to stand and went to dust off the book, opening to a few burned pages, dusting with some anger. How mad the Crazy Queen had been when she stumbled on them one day in the royal kitchen, working out of the book to make something forbidden or that would do anything for the commonwealth.
They had been trying to make a very simple recipe, even though they had stolen some sugar from the back storeroom when the queen walked in. Wine remembered it well, it was a little simple vanilla sponge cake.
Then the sound of anger and Coffee taking the beatings from the Queen for wasting.
“Sans,” Coffee said again in his soft voice as he reached out and took the book from him, carefully playing it back into the box and taking his brother's hand. “Let's….do dinner.” A small shy smile showing under his hood, carefully leading him down to the kitchen.
Simple and humble was really what they needed for that moment, not the past that was in some of those boxes.
Not much was said, the above ground was nicer yes, and humans were still a bit challenging, but to finally be under their own control and no one commanding...it was nice.
Coffee sent his brother off to get ready for bed and, while Wine did give a grump that he was not a baby bones and still in command of the guard, Coffee just silently gave him little taps to send him on his way. What Wine was not expecting, was when he turned on the light to his room, there on his bed, was a small grey and white handmade rabbit.
“Sir Hops….” Wine felt his soul tighten again as he looked around first to make sure no one was around, then closed the door, stepping in and pulling the little rabbit up close to his cheek bone.
Sir Hops. A ‘poorly’ made stuffed animal that Coffee had made for Wine to hold onto when he was not home or out looking for food.
The thing had seen many better days and Coffee would have to get on his brother later about the horrible stitching job. How do you frick up putting on a button with two holes?!
No. No, that wasn't what was bothering Wine.
His brother had to have found it from the hiding spot he put it in when he joined the guard. No self respecting trainee would still need to sleep with a stuffed toy, now would they?
-Yawn-
“Whatever,” he yawned to himself, but couldn't seem to just toss the poor thing. Instead he pulled Sir Hops close to his ribs and closed his sockets. He could hold onto him...for a little while anyway, right?
Coffee had finished cleaning up the dishes and was turning lights off in the house as he walked past Wine's room, stopping when he noticed the light still on.
It wasn't like his brother to be wasteful like that, even with their new home. Carefully, and as quietly as he could, Coffee opened the door and laid his eyes on his little brother still in his day outfit, little Sir Hops snuggled in close in his arms.
Coffee let a small smile form on his face. Even after all this time, his little brother and the one thing he would never let get left behind were both safe now.
He moved into the room and sat on the floor by the bed, resting his skull just to watch his sleeping bro and then let his own tired eye sockets close.
Yes. They were safe. Sir Hops had been there from the start, and Sir Hops was with them now until the end.
