Nights like these, it was hard to tell the sea from the sky. A dark blue sea caressing the infinite black sky. Sometimes his head would cramp up from leaning back so far to stare at the sky. It was easier to look at than the waves. Everything was easier to look at than the ocean.  Leo was looking down at his shoes, his Converse kicking up gravel from his heels. The street lights illuminated the black street like an ugly lighting strike. He saw a person crouched on some staircases. He would have walked right by him -- the golden "don't talk to strangers" rule -- if his shoulders weren't shaking. It looked as if his fragile limbs would break right off.  "Hey, uh... You alright there?"

Rudy Too

Relation: Friend Verse(s): Verse 1 and 3 (x)

Rudy Too is yet another friend of Angel’s. Angel actually reached out to him when they first met. She could tell he was different from Rudy and needed the attention. Needed it more so then Rudy. She was happy to give it to him too because where he was created by the storm, he was not affected by her power. He never had a friend of his own without Rudy around. So being with Angel was a totally new experience for him. She even started going to the support group with him. Not only was it good for her, but it was good for him. She was extra support for him. Angel finds that she likes Rudy Too a bit more than Rudy because he’s not rude or vulgar. She especially likes it when she can get him to talk about the things he likes. He really opens up and becomes talkative. It’s probably because he knows Angel would never judge him. She’s been through all of it. She’s not the type to judge. It’s nice, for the both of them.

(throws curve ball) ship: Rudy / Jess / Rudy Too

Give me a ship and I’ll tell you:

W h o   c o o k s: Jess likes to cook, but has been teaching Too how. He enjoys it far more than she does and takes over the kitchen, not that she minds. 

W h o   d o e s   t h e   l a u n d r y   a n d   o t h e r   c h o r e s: Rudy could care less and Too just gets in the way. Years of relying on their parents screwed Jess over, but she makes them wash their underthings. There are some things she would never do no matter how much she loved them.

H o w   m a n y   c h i l d r e n   d o   t h e y   h a v e: One boy with Rudy One and Leo. Too is nervous about having kids but takes care of Leo as if it were his own. This leaves time for Rudy to be with his baby. Jess is the only girl in the house, sadly.

W h o ’ s   m o r e   d o m i n a t e: Jess, hands down. Rudy is too big of a prick to dominate her, and between him and her, Too submits to Jess moreso. She isn’t unfair; she just pulls their heads out of their asses.

F a v o r i t e   n o n s e x u a l   a c t i v i t y: Watching movies (Spielberg for Rudy, romantic movies for Too and Jess), and going to parties. Too isn’t partial for parties, especially when Rudy goes off to get drugs and Jess is on her third lager, but he figures he gets the better end of the bargain when they sandwich him on the dance-floor. 

T h e i r   f a v o r i t e   p l a c e   t o   b e  t o g e t h e r: Mostly at home, for Too. He is self-conscious about their relationship, while Jess could care less about what others thought, and Rudy boasts about it. For Jess and Rudy, they like going out clubbing and drinking, which makes Too uncomfortable, but they usually reach a middle ground.

A n y   t r a d i t i o n s: Jess’s parents don’t know about the storm and Jess feels weird about only bringing Rudy home for holidays. So they spend the holidays with Rudy and Too’s parents (because they have by this time accepted the power and took it a lot better than Jess’s parents would have).

T h e i r   “s o n g”: Tessellate, by alt-J

W h a t   t h e y   d o   f o r   e a c h   o t h e r   o n   h o l i d a y s: It’s easy to buy for Rudy. Too usually gets him some sort of TMNT action figure or some other toy, and Jess buys some nice lingerie for him. Jess ends up buying for Rudy to get Too some nice bubble bath stuff and lotions (!!). Too helps him, usually, but sometimes Rudy surprises her with perfume or jewelry. Too once got her a book of architecture and decor designs, making her tear up.

W h e r e   d i d   t h e y   g o   f o r   t h e i r   h o n e y m o o n: Wales, because Too has always wanted to go, and Jess always liked it. Rudy just wanted to shag in a fancy hotel room.

W h e r e   d i d   t h e y   f i r s t   m e e t: At community service.

A n y   p e t s: One dog, because Rudy wanted one. Jess and Too both wanted cats, but Rudy is such a big baby that they settle for a mutt. They did put their foot down on the goldfish, however.

W h a t   d o   t h e y   f i g h t   o v e r: Usually over “sharing.” Rudy gets in Too’s face mostly about Jess, which makes her shout at him in return. It’s never really solved, and only temporarily mediated.   

D o   t h e y   g o   o n   v a c a t i o n s,   i f   s o   w h e r e: Too loves to travel so they go on weekend holidays to markets and different small towns with little shops.
