La producción más desafiante en la que participé hasta ahora ha llegado a su fin. “The Threepenny Opera” by The Suburban Players. Dirigida y adaptada por Hugo Halbrich.

Se trata de la histórica ópera (pionera de aspectos teatrales como la ruptura de la cuarta pared y la explícita crítica social) del alemán Bertolt Brecht con la música de Kurt Weill, fue representada por primera vez en 1928, Alemania.

Las 9 funciones que presentamos de The Threepenny Opera con The Suburban Players (companía de teatro en inglés en San Isidro, Buenos Aires. Link al sitio: thesuburbanplayers.com) fueron un éxito rotundo, fruto del gran compromiso tanto del elenco como de los que estuvieron involucrados en la producción de esta obra fuera del escenario.

Me llevo recuerdos que durarán para siempre y la alegría de haber trabajado con tan buena gente, en un nivel demasiado profesional para llamarse amateur.
