Why I like them

I like gail because gail is gail and i’m always drawn to lonely characters who try to hide the fact by overcompensating in some other way (case in point REGINA MILLS). in her case, i think gail overcompensates by acting like she can treat others like crap so that she has a legitimate reason for being and feeling alone. because otherwise if she doesn’t give people a reason to push her away, then the problem is one that lies with herself and not others.

Why I don’t

there is no reason to not like gail peck. she makes mistakes over and over again but that’s the beauty of character development okay because right now we’re seeing her slowly figuring out that not everyone is out to hurt her and it’s unfair to act and treat everybody as if they are.

Favourite scene in a tv/book/film

tough call, she’s got a lot of priceless scenes. I’m fond of the scene in the police department when chloe drops off that stuffed animal for chris’ son, though. the part when gail pretends to begrudge chloe for not being afraid to act like herself but chloe sees right through it and calls her out because what gail is really doing is apologizing and chloe is just like lol ur cute gail it’s cool it’s cool. addendum: the interrogation scene between her and perik when perik comments on her having been replaced and being “second place” in nick’s life is a good contender for fav scene too

Favorite season/movie

I’ve only seen seasons 1 and 4 (and parts of season 2) but i guess i’d say i like season 4 the most simply bc i can totally see how much she’s changed over the course of 4 seasons and it is wonderful

Favorite line

i don’t know if i have a favourite line? maybe the one where she admits to holly that she creates emergency situations for herself to get out of relationships just because the line was so revealing for her.

gail spent a lot of time playing videogames with steve when they were younger. they’d REALLY get into their competitions and set up ‘mock tournaments’ for themselves but in the end gail always fell short to him and she’d be really disappointed but what she doesn’t know is that steve was always secretly sweating nervously every time they played bc more often than not he beats her out of sheer luck and honestly? gail is better at gaming than she thinks she is.
