Let me make this abundantly clear.
No matter what he looks like on the outside, Deku ain’t a monster.
Yeah, his Quirk’s unstable. And Deku’s demonstrated over and over again that he doesn’t let that power get out of control. He knows how to control it.
And not just control it. He’s flourished with it. He’s done a hell of a lot of good with that Quirk. Whatever you fucks want to say otherwise, Deku’s a damn good hero. One of the best.
Even under the extenuating circumstances of last night, Deku didn’t lose himself like so many of the others had.
After the drug hit him, he dropped to the ground. Hunched over. Screaming. Pulling at his hair. I think he must’ve bit through his tongue. Blood was pouring out of his mouth.
Deku’s dealt with a massive amount of injuries in the past.
Hell, when we were training to be heroes, there was a time when he couldn’t even use his Quirk without breaking his bones. He has an extreme threshold for pain.
Even so, I’ve never heard him sound like that before.
And even so, Deku would’ve sooner clawed his own eyes out than hurt anybody that was there. You don’t have to know him to know that. And when it was over, when he’d... shifted, I guess, there were only a few moments of silence before he’d started to help.
Deku was one of the ones that’d helped capture the heroes that were rampaging around us. He didn’t use any unnecessary force, and once he’d captured once person, he quickly moved onto the next.
We’ve seen that some of these Noumu are mindless creatures that take directive from their creating entity. We’ve seen that some of these Noumu have minds of their own.
Deku is beyond the latter.
So shut the fuck up.
